The City Council of the City of Port Lavaca, Texas will hold public hearings on the proposed budget for fiscal year October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 on Monday, August 22, 2016 at 5:30 p.m. and Monday, August 29, 2016 at 5:30 p.m., in the City Hall Council Chambers, 202 North Virginia, Port Lavaca, Texas. All interested parties were invited and encouraged to attend.

This budget will raise more property taxes than last year’s budget by $101,442 (2.83%), and of that amount $24,725 is tax revenue to be raised from new property added to the roll this year.
