Parks & Recreation

Please Note: Two City Parks Closed Until Further Notice Due To Hurricane Harvey

For your safety Bayfront Park and Lighthouse Beach Park are currently CLOSED to the public. Both of these parks experienced extensive damage in Harvey and are simply not safe. Tilley Park also has limited access as there are several trees down in the Park and the Pavilion has significant roof damage. Please stay away from these areas for your safety. City staff is working to assess all the damage and work with insurance, FEMA and other resources towards full recovery. It will take time. Please be patient and know we are working as fast and safely as we can.

Thank you,
City of Port Lavaca
