Port Lavaca has long been permitting through paper applications. Starting late-August, permitting, inspections, and code enforcement are going digital! The website will look a little different as we add this new self-service portal however, it will be easier to track your project from start to finish as you receive emails when your submission is reviewed, approved, paid, inspected, and closed. Gone are the days of calling and emailing for status updates and mailing checks. Want to make a report on a code concern? You will be able to log into the portal, type your concern and leave your contact information or remain anonymous. Not only will you receive updates on the case, but this new system will help code enforcement track and manage cases more efficiently.
The city is excited to be able to bring these changes and provide a higher level of transparency to residents, future residents, and prospective businesses and developers. Website capabilities are enticing to prospects and as our city grows, we want to be able to grow along with it.
